Requirements - M.S. in Actuarial Science
Course Work
The Master's Degree requires 24 credits of course work (8 classes).
A typical program would include the following courses:
- Math 365: Financial Mathematics I
- Math 366: Operations Research
- Math 369: Financial Mathematics II
- Math 387-388: Actuarial Mathematics
- Math 392: Advanced Topics in Actuarial Mathematics I
- Math 393: Advanced Topics in Actuarial Mathematics II
- Math 394: Survival Models
- Math 395: Risk Theory
- Math 397: Actuarial Research
- Finance 301: Financial Management
- Finance 302: Introduction to Investments

Actuarial Exams
In order to graduate, two exams
of the Society of Actuaries or the Casualty Actuarial Society have to be passed.
